| We are delighted to feature “Le Mas de l’Esper” as part of our expanding summer collection. Located in the South of France, thirty minutes from Avignon, this south-facing villa is set in its own vast private grounds, a few minutes drive from the tranquil village of Eygalières.
Currently in the final phases of an extensive renovation, Le Mas de L’Esper sleeps 8 guests in 4 ensuite bedrooms, all of which have stunning views of the grounds and the villa’s own olive grove. Whilst all bathrooms will be contemporary, the bedrooms will boast muted neutral fabrics and a traditional Provencal style.
The local village holds many charms for its visitors; rustic stone houses, blossoming valleys, traditional boutiques, all set against the superb landscape of the Alpilles and the Caume Mountain. For the active, there are walking and cycling paths (of varying difficulty), tennis courts, a gym, golf course and even sailing on a nearby lake.

For the less active, warm terraces in local bistros and the villa’s private swimming pool all await. Once the sun sets, Eygalières and neighbouring St Remy de Provence both offer a selection of excellent restaurants, such as the renowned Chez Bru which has 2 Michelin stars.
The villa comes with three members of Descent staff, including a Chef. Whilst the villa will feature a chauffeured 4x4, the chalet is extremely private and we would recommend that if you wish to explore the region, or travel further afield to sample the esteemed Bouillabaisse of Marseille (45 minutes away), that you hire a car.
